Pacem in Terris Lecture Series

Inspired by Pope John XXIII’s vision to begin an authentic dialogue in the quest for peace and human fulfillment, Georgetown initiated a series of presentations by distinguished scholars, religious leaders, and human rights activists from around the world tackling the topic of “peace on earth.”

The Nostra Ætate Lecture Series

This lecture series builds on the Second Vatican Council’s document on interreligious dialogue, as well as on other similar initiatives like the Pacem in Terris lecture series.

The World Economic Forum (WEF) is an independent international organization committed to improving the state of the world. Georgetown was among the first universities to participate in the WEF’s Global University Leadership Forum.

HeForShe Campaign

From 2016 through 2020, Georgetown University proudly served as a founding champion for the HeForShe Campaign, the UN Women Solidarity Movement for Gender Equality.

Ward 7 Initiative

Georgetown University’s Ward 7 Initiative connected Georgetown University with the District of Columbia’s Ward 7 community in support of the students, families, and schools. The Initiative was responsible for coordinating the University’s longstanding commitment to service and outreach to the local community.
