Update from President DeGioia

Dear Members of the Georgetown Community:

I write to inform our community that earlier today, after experiencing mild symptoms, I received a positive test result for COVID-19. I am in isolation and will be continuing my University activities virtually.

We will be conducting contact tracing to notify anyone who may be considered a close contact and share with them information about next steps they should take.

I am grateful for the strong protection of the COVID-19 vaccines and boosters and look forward to resuming in-person activities as soon as it is safe and as guidelines permit.

I wish to offer my sincere appreciation to our COVID-19 testing lab, Care Navigators, and our entire Public Health team for their efforts and the work of our community to care for and support one another.
