Anne Moran serves as the Chief of Staff to the President of Georgetown University. She previously served as Chief of Staff at Seattle University (2023-2026), providing guidance to the President on matters of strategic importance, and sharing information with the President on key projects and initiatives taking place across the university.
An alumna of Seattle University (’87), Moran’s recent professional experience centered around higher education at her alma mater, serving as Senior Assistant to the President (2017-2023) and Senior Executive Coordinator to the Office of the Executive Vice President (2011-2017). Prior to her work at Seattle University, Moran’s career was shaped by operational logistics, overseeing administrative duties at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Seattle and working as a travel program manager at Business Incentives.
Additionally, Moran is active in volunteerism, serving as a board member for the Conference of Sacred Heart Education. Previously, she was an active volunteer in her local Seattle community, serving as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees for Forest Ridge School of the Sacred Heart and Parent Board President at Holy Names Academy.
Moran was raised in Omaha, Nebraska, and is married to Matt Moran, whom she met as an undergraduate student at Seattle University. Together, they have five children. Before returning to the professional workforce, Moran spent several years as a stay-at-home parent, dedicated to raising their children before transitioning into her career in university administration.
