Will the Inauguration be live-streamed?

Yes, the Inauguration will be live-streamed on the Inauguration website. We will also be hosting gatherings for our community members to view the livestream together in the Healey Family Student Center (Hilltop Campus) and Hart Auditorium, located in the McDonough Building (Capitol Campus).

I RSVPed to an Inauguration event. Am I guaranteed a seat?

General seating for the Inauguration Mass in Gaston Hall and the Installation Ceremony in McDonough Arena is filled on a first-come, first-served basis until the venue reaches maximum capacity. We strongly recommend that you arrive to the venue early. Once the venue reaches maximum capacity, guests will be directed to join the public gathering in Healey Family Student Center to view the livestream.

What if I need to request an accommodation?

We strongly recommend that you include any accommodation requests with your RSVP. If you have already sent in your RSVP and need to add an accommodation request, you can edit your RSVP using the link included in the confirmation email. We will make a good faith effort to accommodate requests. If you need additional support, please send an email to inauguration@georgetown.edu.

How is Georgetown ensuring that the Inauguration is safe and celebratory?

Our focus is on celebrating this new chapter in Georgetown University’s history. We are monitoring events in the region and across the nation and we have enhanced security and planning. We maintain a commitment to our Speech and Expression policy, which ensures freedom of expression but does not permit disruptions.
