Accessibility at Inauguration

Georgetown University is committed to providing an accessible and welcoming Inauguration experience for all community members and guests. We strive to design our Inauguration ceremony and events with accessibility in mind, incorporating the accessibility features described below.

Arrival & Parking

Designated accessible parking spaces are available on a first-come, first served basis in the Southwest Quad Garage. Individuals who utilize designated accessible parking spaces must display a state-issued disability license plate or placard. To maximize the availability of accessible parking spaces in the garage, if possible, please consider utilizing the bus turnaround area outside of McDonough Arena. (Buses will be redirected to Cooper Field for the day.)

The front gates of the University, at the intersection of 37th and O Streets, is an accessible drop-off location. Please be advised that neighborhood traffic may be heavy.

Accessible Maps

Georgetown University provides maps outlining accessible routes from the Southwest Quad Garage to locations on campus commonly accessed by visitors. This includes barrier-free routes to Gaston Hall, McDonough Arena, and the Leavey Center.

Georgetown also offers an interactive campus map, highlighting accessible routes on our Hilltop campus.
