Edward M. Quinn, Secretary of the University

Mr. Quinn received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service in 1973 and his law degree from Fordham University Law School in 1976.  He has worked as a lawyer and attorney-administrator in the Office of Administrative Law, State of New Jersey and as an attorney in the General Counsel's Office of the United States Catholic Conference.  Mr. Quinn joined the Georgetown University Counsel's Office in 1991 as Assistant University Counsel.  From May 1999 through July of 2000 he served as Interim University Counsel.  In January 2000, he became Secretary of the University.  In this position, he staffs the Board of Directors for the President and the Chair of the Board.  He also staffs University Searches and the University Committee on Rank and Tenure, as well as undertakes a variety of additional special projects for the President.
