"Let Freedom Ring!" Choir

Since 2005 members of the Georgetown University Community have been invited to participate in the "Let Freedom Ring!" Choir that performs during the annual Kennedy Center event honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  Please check back for important information about participation in this year's "Let Freedom Ring!" Choir.

Traditionally, Georgetown University invites an acclaimed musical artist to perform at the annual "Let Freedom Ring" Concert which is part of the Kennedy Center's program of daily free performances at the Millennium Stage. Past celebrity artists have included Roberta Flack (2003), Jessye Norman (2004), Aaron Neville (2005), Yolanda Adams (2006), Brian McKnight (2007), and Denyce Graves (2008). In January 2005, Georgetown University choirs had the great honor of singing for President George W. Bush, First Lady Laura Bush, and "Legacy of a Dream" award recipients, Secretary of State Colin Powell and Mrs. Alma Powell.
